Sanding Abrasives

Image 1

Sanding abrasives smooth surfaces (such as metal, composites, wood, stone, and plastic) and prepare them for finishing and polishing. Sanding discs and belts attach to a compatible sanding tool to remove stock, clean surfaces, and smooth surfaces. Hand sanding pads, sponges, and steel wool tend to be less aggressive than discs and belts and are generally used for detail work. Sandpaper sheets and rolls are cut to size to suit the application. Flap wheels install on die grinders and rotary tools. Surface-conditioning wheels prepare surfaces for finishing. Cartridge rolls and spiral bands attach to mandrels to surface inside edges and contours. Specialty abrasives smooth interior surfaces or pipes and tubes. Abrasive cord smooths narrow crevices and contours.
